 Located at the most prestigious address in Edinburgh, the five-star Balmoral Hotel combines the noble character of a Scottish baronial home and the classic sophistication of an international hotel.
Conveniently located in the heart of the city, close to the shops and next to the central railway station, The Balmoral is only 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh Airport, making it the ideal accommodation from which to enjoy the many events held in Edinburgh, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, or simply to relax and unwind.
The Balmoral bedroom are individually designed and include all the facilities that you would expect from a five-star hotel. The bedrooms have an authentic character borrowed from the original design themes of the time. All the rooms have 5* amenities including air conditioning, satellite television, mini bar, fax, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, bathrobes.
We have a range of over 20 suites, which are considered amongst the best in Europe, all the suites are individually designed with Scottish character. They are all devided into two rooms with a very much defined seating area, a king bed and marbel en-suite bathrooms. The suites average in size at 225 square metres. The suite prices start from GBP 450 up to GBP 1200 per night.

By Train
The Balmoral is adjacent to Waverley station which is served by direct links from all around the country in addition to the frequent mainline service from London King’s Cross.
By Air
Edinburgh Airport is 8 miles from The Balmoral, approximately 30 minutes away by car.
If you are arriving by rail or air, please let us know if you require assistance with your luggage or would like to be met and transported to the hotel.
By Car
When departing the airport follow signs for the A8, Edinburgh city centre. This will take you through the suburb of Corstorphine, passing Edinburgh Zoo on your left hand side and Murrayfield stadium on your right. You will then be approaching the Haymarket district of the city. Keep following city centre signs into the West End junction of Princes Street. You will then come into a one way system that takes you through Charlotte Square and onto Queen Street - follow Queen Street to its full length. This leads into York Place, passing the National Portrait gallery on your right and eventually coming to a roundabout. Take your second exit and keep in your right hand lane. This is Leith Street. At the end of Leith Street you will come to a set of major traffic lights - at this point you will see The Balmoral on your right. At this set of traffic lights take a right hand turn onto Princes Street. You will now be at The Balmoral were our Doorman will welcome you.
If arriving by car we have chargeable parking facilities nearby (£15.00 per day) and can valet park your car for you and return it when required
